
LeoVegas and 888 are among a select group of operators that obtained licenses to launch in the iGaming market of Ontario this April.
In a recent announcement, Gustaf Hagman , the CEO of LeoVegas Group , stated;

On March 14th, the Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario has published an updated roster of operators who have secured a license and are set to launch their online casinos in the province on April 4th .

This roster features several prominent names that are already active within the best online casinos in the United States, including Unibet , BetRivers , WSOP and FanDuel .
Major U.S. brands like BetMGM and Golden Nugget have yet to receive their licenses but are anticipated to eventually join the Ontario market.
The launch of the iGaming sector in Ontario is scheduled for April 4th; however, this date has faced previous delays due to challenges from other boards against the Ontario government's decision to regulate online gambling.
As per new regulations , all operators seeking a license in Ontario will be required to cease any offshore operations within the province.
Play’n Go has also successfully obtained a license to enter the Ontario iGaming space.
Software providers have been navigating the application process to offer their gaming products in Ontario, with Play’n Go being one of the latest providers to receive a permit.
