Individuals who have faced charges or convictions for these specific crimes within the last five years will find themselves prohibited from all land-based casinos in the region. The implementation of this law is anticipated to occur by the end of September.
Claudia Loupret, a representative for Quebec’s Finance Ministry, announced this during a press briefing earlier this week. She highlighted the government’s dedication to promoting a responsible gambling framework in Canada, thus reinforcing an existing robust safety and trust environment. Loupret pointed out that Quebec sets a precedent for enhancing financial accountability in provincial casinos.
